St Peter's, Petersham
St Peter's, Petersham
Summary

Parts of the church date from 1505 but the majority is 18th and 19th century. It is now listed Grade II*. A new extension near to the south elevation provides a meeting room with a kitchen and toilet facilities. This site was part of the churchyard with a number of recorded and unrecorded burials. Our initial design was for a piled foundation supporting a reinforced concrete slab, with an irregular layout of piles to avoid the burials. Once the archaeological investigation was complete we used the excavations to place mass concrete footings.
